We did a slide show tour of the book and then gave everyone paper and had them draw a comic strip using no pictures, just dialogue, narration, panel borders, sound effects and "emanata" (sweat beads and so forth--see the textbook for details!). We then stuck them all on the wall and talked about them a bit.(This is basically what we're doing tonight at McNally-Robinson, too.)

Thanks for bringing your intro comics class to the MoCCA Art Festival! Sorry about the very hot space - 100 degree temperatures put a definite strain on MoCCA's air conditioning.
