On-line contest: finish this comic.

The Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute is currently hosting the touring LitGraphic comics art exhibit. I will be visiting in the spring to talk and give a workshop (details to follow) and I have helped them put together a contest for their website (with a lot of help from my intern, Wyeth Yates). It's a one-page comic (set at the museum)with the last tier missing. Anyone can send in a final tier that finishes the story. There is a teen and an adult category.
Find the details here.

Geeking out on Evernote

I was recently interviewed for a blog post for Evernote, my favorite way to store and keep track of all kinds of information. You can read the post here.

And welcome if you're visiting me for the first time. Try the news, works-in-progress, or oubapo labels to see what I've been up to and what I'm into. I also have a website for my book 99 Ways to Tell a Story: Exercises in Style here and another one here dedicated to teaching and my two textbooks, Drawing Words & Writing Pictures (2008) and Mastering Comics (coming out this May!).

UPDATE: You can now also read a profile of me and my wife, Jessica Abel, at Publishers Weekly.

(A bonus comic I did for PULSE! magazine back in 1999.)
